Advertising Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This Advertising Policy sets out the core rules for ads shown on publisher inventory through the ReinoAds platform. Our aim is a trustworthy advertising environment for users, publishers and advertisers alike. The policy applies in addition to applicable law, and advertisers remain responsible for ensuring their ads are lawful.

General principles

  • Ads must comply with applicable law, in particular rules on commercial advertising and consumer protection.
  • Ads must be honest, clear and verifiable, and must be recognisable as advertising.
  • Ads must also comply with each publisher's own content and advertising policies.

Prohibited content

The following may not be advertised through ReinoAds:

  • Illegal products, services or activities.
  • Betting, gambling and casino ads (not served by default).
  • Adult and sexual content (not served by default).
  • Misleading, deceptive or unverifiable claims, including fake discounts and exaggerated earnings promises.
  • Malware, phishing, unwanted redirects or code that may harm a user's device.
  • Counterfeit or imitation goods, or products that infringe intellectual property rights.
  • Hate speech, discrimination, or content that glorifies violence or terrorism.
  • The sale or promotion of weapons, ammunition or explosives.
  • Illegal drugs and content that encourages their use.
  • Ads designed to collect personal data unlawfully.

Restricted categories

The following categories may be served only where permitted by law, after additional review and where the publisher has explicitly allowed the category:

  • Alcoholic beverages (subject to statutory advertising bans).
  • Financial services, credit, investment and crypto-asset products.
  • Health products, food supplements and ads making health claims.
  • Political ads.
  • Products aimed at, or likely to appeal to, children and other sensitive age groups.

Creative standards

  • Images and copy must be clear, legible and meet the technical specifications.
  • The ad must match the page it links to, and the landing page must work.
  • Designs that imitate system alerts, fake close buttons or app interfaces are not allowed.
  • Auto-playing sound, excessive flashing or formats that seriously disrupt the user experience are not allowed.
  • Third-party brands, images and content may be used only where the necessary rights have been obtained.

Advertiser and creative approval

Advertisers we work with directly are reviewed at account level. Creatives in directly sold campaigns are reviewed against this policy and the relevant publisher's rules before they go live. ReinoAds may decline any advertiser or creative without giving a reason.

Publisher rules: sponsors and competitors

Publishers can set additional rules for their own inventory. These may include blocking certain brands or sectors because of sponsorship agreements, excluding ads from competitors, or switching off particular categories entirely. ReinoAds applies these publisher rules when serving ads.

Programmatic demand

Alongside directly sold, controlled inventory, ReinoAds may also serve ads from programmatic demand sources. Programmatic ads are subject to this policy as well, but it is not possible to review every programmatic ad individually before it is shown.

Programmatic demand is restricted through policy and network-level controls, such as category blocking, domain and advertiser block lists and controls applied at the demand partner level. If an unsuitable ad gets through despite these controls, the enforcement and reporting processes below apply.

Enforcement

  • Rejecting a creative or campaign.
  • Pausing a live campaign or creative.
  • In serious cases, immediately stopping a specific ad, advertiser or demand source across all inventory (kill switch).
  • Suspending or closing an advertiser account for repeated or serious violations.

House ads

Where no suitable ad is available, or an ad has been stopped for policy reasons, a fallback house ad may be shown instead, such as the publisher's own promotional content or a ReinoAds promotion.

Reporting a problematic ad

If you see an ad you believe breaches this policy, email [email protected] with the app or site where you saw it, the approximate time and, if possible, a screenshot. We review every report and take the enforcement steps above where needed.

Changes

We may update this policy as the law, industry practice and our platform evolve. The current version is published on this page with its last updated date.
